About Me
A nurse by profession I learnt to understand the human body using critical thinking . 7 years of practice and I became overwhelmed by the never-ending meds and treatments my clients required, More so of all the side effects experienced from those same requirements. Asked by families for remedies to ease the affect the meds and treatments where having on their Skin and Hair . I began my journey into plant-based alternatives and herbalism; Pregnant with my daughter my own hair ,skin and body was going through many different changes and problems never experienced before. I didn’t have many options pre or postpartum. I began trying all the brands that said they were natural or clean however never helped me instead made everything worse. I realized that these products just were not created with the unique needs of melanated buyers in mind . These personal experiences altered my general studies to a more specific cultural, and spiritually -based approach to my herbalism . Using the sciences of biology, anatomy and physiology learned in nursing school in addition to 5 years of product development, and trying out on my own tribe an many other family and friends .Zion Way Natural Alternatives was Birthed . – AS the Owner, Creator, Curator and so many other titles of this company .
